Both Arabescato and Calacatta marble are extracted from the same area in Italy, the small town of Carrara in the Tuscany region. Calacatta marble tends to have a brighter, whiter background that provides a higher contrast to the veining than Arabescato marble which instead shows a busier veins pattern and it’s slightly less white. Calacatta Marble price per square meter or square foot is usually at least 6 times more expensive than Arabescato.
